In a land where children often face hunger, hardship, and hopelessness, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. At Pillar Missions, we bring the Gospel to Liberia’s most vulnerable—then act in faith by offering high-quality Christian education rooted in truth, love, and excellence.

Through our schools and scholarship programs, children once at risk of being lost to the streets, exploitation, or violence are given a new path—one paved with learning, discipleship, and hope. Equipped with life-changing skills and grounded in the Word of God, these young lives are breaking free from generational poverty and building brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

Nourishing Bodies. Awakening Hope.

“And if you spend yourselves on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday,” (Isaiah 58:10).

In Liberia, nearly half of all children go to bed hungry, trapped in a cycle of poverty that robs them of health, education, and hope. Many are forced to leave school and face heartbreaking choices—just to survive.

At Pillar Missions, we’re breaking this cycle with a Christ-centered response: launching a school feeding program that ensures every child receives a nourishing meal each day. This simple act of compassion strengthens minds, keeps children in school, and opens hearts to the love of Jesus.

Our vision doesn’t stop at the school gate. By equipping local churches with food resources, we empower them to meet urgent physical needs and extend the Gospel to the “least of these” in their communities.

Because no child should have to choose between food and a future.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies,” (I Corinthians 6:19-20).

While rescuing and educating children is at the heart of our mission, we also extend the mercy of Christ through compassionate medical care. At our Po River Mission site, our clinic serves as a beacon of hope—offering essential treatment to those who might otherwise go without.

But we’re not stopping there.

We envision a future where each of our school campuses has a full-time nurse, and our clinic expands to include a surgical center—bringing accessible, quality care to some of the most underserved people in Liberia. By welcoming medical mission teams and building local capacity, we aim to reach entire communities with both healing and the hope of the Gospel.

Because in Christ, care is not just physical—it’s eternal.

For over 70 years, we’ve stood with the people of Liberia through civil wars, Ebola outbreaks, economic collapse, and systemic corruption. In every crisis, we’ve remained—anchored in faith and ready to respond.

Drawing on deep local relationships and decades of experience, we mobilize humanitarian aid swiftly and strategically when urgent needs arise. Whether distributing food, medical supplies, or emergency relief, we act with compassion and purpose—partnering with faithful supporters who share our heart for serving the vulnerable and bringing lasting hope.

As we disciple new communities—often in regions lacking basic infrastructure—we depend on these trusted partners to help meet critical needs: clean water, irrigation systems, construction projects, medical and dental services, and more.
